Turkey Innovation Week 2025 starts under theme of “Tomorrow: Now.”

(MENAFN) Türkiye Innovation Week 2025, the nation’s largest innovation gathering, officially began on Thursday at Istanbul’s Halic Congress Center under the theme “Tomorrow: Now,” according to reports. The three-day event is organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), with support from the Turkish Trade Ministry and Anadolu Agency as its Global Communication Partner. It brings together academics, business executives, entrepreneurs, and leaders in innovation from around the world.

This year’s agenda focuses on a wide array of topics in the era of artificial intelligence, spanning production, education, law, and the defense sector. Trade Minister Omer Bolat described the event as “a very successful organization.” He noted, "I hope this event, which has attracted nearly 20,000 innovation enthusiasts, will be very productive. The program is rich, featuring highly valuable speakers and important topics, and the young audience is showing great interest. I sincerely believe that it will yield very positive and successful outcomes for our country and our economy."

Bolat also shared a development from Türkiye’s domestic electric vehicle sector. He received a video message from Togg’s CEO announcing that the first batch of 100 Togg cars has been exported to Germany, with the total expected to approach nearly 1,000 by the end of the year.

Turning to the situation in Gaza, Bolat welcomed the recent agreement on the first phase of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, highlighting that it brings hope to those affected by “over 730 days of Israeli genocide and massacres.” He added, “I hope this ceasefire will open the way for the rapid delivery of aid, the end of Israel’s occupation in Gaza, and the reconstruction of Gaza.”

The minister further noted that since May 2, 2024, Türkiye has completely suspended all trade with Tel Aviv—including exports, imports, and transit trade—a decision that paused an annual trade volume of approximately $10 billion.
