OIC Organize Urgent Session on Israeli Attacks

(MENAFN) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) announced on Monday its decision to organize an urgent assembly on Tuesday to deliberate over the persistent Israeli attacks targeting Palestinians.

According to a declaration issued by the Jeddah-headquartered alliance, the session will take place at the level of permanent representatives. It will focus on addressing “the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and the targeting of holy sites in the occupied Palestinian territory, particularly the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil (Hebron).”

The statement further highlighted that the emergency meeting is being held in light of an extraordinary humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the Gaza Strip.

This crisis is attributed to “the ongoing crimes of genocide, starvation, and displacement committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, and the escalation of Israeli attacks on places of worship,” as described in the communiqué.
